How a home gets published
Rental posts are gathered from local sources. Repeated posts are grouped, and photos, layout, features and location clues may be compared. A person reviews a proposed match before records are presented as one home.
A collected home appears here only after someone reviews it and marks it publishable. Until then it stays out of public results.
What the labels mean
Status labels describe the evidence behind a claim, not a promise about the home. Their definitions sit next to the results, so you never have to read this section to understand a label.

- Source-supported
- The details come from the advertiser's own post; Localist has not confirmed them.
- Unconfirmed
- Localist has not been able to confirm this offer.
Reading a post confirms a claim appeared in it. It says nothing about whether the advertiser owns the home or may rent it out.
Freshness
The page shows one date for a home: when the earliest eligible post for it was first seen. That is a date, not a promise that the home is still available.
Availability, prices and terms reflect the latest information recorded by Localist and may have changed. Localist does not guarantee availability. Confirm current facts with the advertiser before making a decision.
Unknown is a real answer
If a deposit, bathroom count or address was never stated, we label it “not stated” rather than estimating it.
Deposit, minimum stay and pet policy are rarely stated in the posts we collect, so they are usually blank. That is a gap in the source, not a gap we have filled in.
Conflicts stay visible
Two advertisers, two prices, two sets of terms — both are shown. We don’t merge them into a single tidy number.
Location
A home is placed only as precisely as its post allows. Where a post names no ward, the page says so rather than guessing from the city.
Original-post policy
A source link is shown only when its public use has been approved. Localist summarizes relevant rental facts rather than republishing a post in full. Reading a post confirms only that a claim appeared there; it does not confirm identity, authority to rent, or current availability. Personal contact details and unapproved account identifiers are not published.
What we will never say
What you will never see here:
“verified owner”, “trusted agent”, “guaranteed listing”, “real-time availability”, “vetted property”, “100% verified”.
We can’t support those claims, so we don’t make them. There are no ratings and no review stars, because a rating is not a check.
